Puppet Shows - Free Family Entertainment...

Enjoy an unforgettable Holiday Treat! Puppet shows are a dazzling experience sure to captivate children, and the young at heart. Last week at the Lafayette Library, Ava and I were fortunate enough to see the Fratello Marionette Production, North Pole Review. Shows at libraries are usually FREE sponsored by Friends of the Library Foundations. It was a full-house, fantastic performance, stunning puppets and delightful puppeteers. The children simply did not want to leave the show.

We're lucky to find, yet a few more performances by Fratello Marionettes next week: Berkeley Library (Wednesday, December 29th) and at the Salida Library (Thursday, December 30th.) CLICK HERE for Schedule and details.

Mark your calendars. Nick Barone Puppets, T-Rex Thunderlizard's Wild West Revue is Tuesday, January 25, 2011, 6:30pm at the Pleasant Hill, California Library. CLICK HERE for details.

Pescadero State Beach - 9/26/10

We were fortunate to visit this Pescadero State Beach a day earlier during low tide. This video was taken a day later during high tide. The big island in the background is completely accessible during low tide, often you'll see people climbing the rocks. We were fortunate to visit a day earlier to find lots of sea creatures beautifully displayed for all to see. Starfish were everywhere!

Beach day. A starfish for each of us.

Life is a fun field trip...to Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay, CA

Lemos Farm, Half Moon Bay, California.

This is the most darling little farm! Ava is only 3 1/2 years old and we have visited at least 5 times since June. She absolutely loves the pony rides, the dig zone dump truck, the goats, the hay ride, especially the ghost town train ride, and just hanging out eating ice-cream and popcorn. I chatted with Mr. Lemos this afternoon and he says they have 20 baby goats a year on the farm. The cute little goats in today's photos are 5 weeks old. Such a fun place. How did we live all this time without knowing such a wonderful, quaint farm is only an hour from home? We sure look forward to visiting in time for Harvest Season and Pumpkin Patches. The sunflowers are beautiful and corn is growing tall. If you stay till closing, you'll even see cotton tailed bunnies hopping along the trails.
